The PPi features a listing of nearly 70,000 FDA-approved drugs, and includes formulary information gathered from the eleven most popular insurance carriers-- plus Medi-Cal. Gone is the hassel and delay of prescribing a particular medication, only to find out that it isn't covered by the patient's insurance.

Because the PPi formularies are integrated with a drug database, you'll know immediately if a medication is covered. What's more, a generic or therapeutic equivalent that's included in the desired carrier's formulary can be obtained in an instant.

The Main Information Screen displays the currently selected drug's search name, label name, generic name, manufacturer, generic/brand/alternative product classification, therapeutic class, pharmacological class, and organ system. And most importantly, formulary/insurance coverages are listed with the ability to see any available detail information.

The Detail Screen supports the main screen with drug strength, route of administration, RX or OTC classification, NDC, DEA schedule, imprint information and a photograph of the drug.

The Drug Information Screen is the gateway to the drug monographs. All of the information is AHFS approved and includes Chemistry, Stability, Pharmacology, etc.

The Therapeutic Equivalents Screent allows therapeutic/generic equivalent drugs to be located with just a click of a button and further sorted by insurance carrier.

The Medi-Cal Screen lists information for covered drugs by form, strenght, package size and unit. Any applicable footnotes can be viewed for additional billing or prescribing restrictions.
